Bench of Harmony, Warsaw and Łódź, Poland
The Bench of Harmony is a project created from the need to foster more open and meaningful neighbourly relationships through consciously designed public space. In the rush of everyday life, we created a piece of furniture that encourages people to pause, talk, and simply be together.
The project was designed for the residential developments of the company Profbud in Goslove in Warsaw and Primo in Łódź. The bench’s semi-circular form naturally directs users towards one another, encouraging interaction, exchange, and spontaneous meetings between residents.
The project demonstrates how even a small intervention within a shared space can meaningfully influence everyday experiences and help build a sense of community.
